Swiss restaurateur, Hans Locher (pictured) of the Storchen in Iberg, wants to add human breast milk to his menu. He came up with the idea while his wife was breast-feeding their newborn daughter some 35 odd years ago. By cooking up her "surplus" breast milk, he discovered that if you add a little whip cream, breast milk makes for some delicious recipes.
So, in the spirit of entrepreneurship, upon noticing that "there are a lot of mothers in my neighborhood", Locher put out an ad for breast milk donors. In fact, he offered to pay ££3 per 14oz of the stuff, or the American equivalent of $6.23 per liquid pound. According to Locher, a couple women have expressed interest in such a transaction. By his calculations, he would need approximately 11 lbs of mother's milk to get the "lactation" menu started. Said menu would include meat stews with meats sauteed in breast milk as well as soups and sauces containing at least 75% breast milk.
