Oscar-winning Hollywood director, Steven Soderbergh has recently announced adult performer Sasha Grey as the lead in his upcoming film, The Girlfriend Experience. The film will release in 2009 as part of Soderbergh's six-picture deal with 2929 Entertainment to simultaneously distribute movies in cinemas and on cable and DVD.
Sasha Grey, a self-professed lover of the films of Jean-Luc Godard, Bernardo Bertolucci, and Catherine Breilla, will play a $10,000-a-night call girl, willing to give her rich clients the girlfriend experience, which Wikipedia describes as:
... involving more intimate relations than a traditional call girl offers, and may include kissing and/or french kissing, cuddling and foreplay. A call girl advertising the provision of a "girlfriend experience" is implying that she provides deep french kissing, "full service" (intercourse) with protection, and oral sex without protection. Advertising a "girlfriend experience" is sometimes used by prostitutes and pimps to promote business.
So who is to play Grey's hard-up for intimacy client? more >>
Sexy film siren, Leelee Sobieski, who is known for such versatile roles as her Golden Globe winning portrayal of Joan of Arc (1999) to a modern day Lolita in Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut (1999), stars in Julie Davis' Finding Bliss (October 2008), another film about making a porno. Here's the official plot synopsis for Finding Bliss:
Aspiring filmmaker, Jody Balaban (Leelee Sobieski), takes a job at a porn studio, planning to use the company's lush facilities to secretly film her own movie after hours. When Jody's ruse is discovered, she's forced to collaborate with infamous porn director, Jeff Drake (Matthew Davis) -- an initially fractious relationship that simmers into an unexpected romance.
This means that two romantic comedies about making porn will debut this October. Finding Bliss sounds a little more grown up than Zak & Miri Make a Porno. Leelee's film is directed by Julie Davis, who also directed a film called Amy's Orgasm (2001). Smith's film will no doubt offer a male perspective, whereas Davis's film may give us a feminine take on things. It's the best of both worlds as I plan on watching each film. But what has me excited about Finding Bliss is an article I read on In/Out Star that claims Leelee (and supporting cast) bare it all:

Back in February, I reported on the casting of Katie Morgan and Traci Lords in Kevin Smith's latest film, Zak and Miri Make a Porno. The film is coming (haw haw) on Halloween 2008.
I've embedded a funny trailer that includes Traci Lords as "bubbles." You can also see Katie Morgan and Traci during the final seconds of the preview.
It took scene-cutting and filing a complaint, but Smith finally got the MPAA to give his film an R rating instead of the dreaded NC-17. more >>
Former penthouse pet and legendary porn star-business woman, Taylor Wane, has landed several mainstream film roles, including one in an upcoming Ron Howard film.
Taylor Wane will be playing a Playboy Playmate with a Hugh Hefner look-alike in Ron Howard's upcoming film about the post-Watergate television interviews between British talk-show host David Frost and former president Richard Nixon, aptly titled Frost/Nixon. She had this to say of her big-budget appearance:
It was a really exciting experience to be on a Ron Howard set and to be in such a great film.
Wane will also be playing the head mistress of a sordid sex club that is being investigated by the FBI for several murders in State of Play (2009). She will be acting along side Ben Affleck, Russel Crowe, Rachel McAdams and a bevy of A-listers in this film based on a BBC mini-series where a police detective works with reporters in solving the murder of a congressman's mistress. more >>
One of my all-time favorite directors, Quentin Tarantino, is seriously considering courting one of my favorite porn stars, Tera Patrick, for a starring role in his remake of Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!. Here's the low-down from Page Six:
"Quentin loves her, and she's a dead ringer for original star Tura Satana," said our source. Patrick gushes over the Russ Meyer 1966 cult film about three women on a violent desert road trip. "It would be the hottest remake ever, and I'm honored to be considered," she told Page Six. "I was built for this part."
Gushes! Nice choice of words. Patrick would be playing "Varla" -- immortalized by half-Japanese-American bombshell, Tura Satana, who was also a stripper and burlesque dancer (at just 13 years old in 1940's Japan)! So let us do a checklist of what these two performers have in common: more >>
According to Jerry Portwood of the New York Press, "we're in the middle of a Renaissance of female masturbation scenes in independent films." He goes on to cite various scenes in some well-made works of cinematic enlightenment where the lead actress diddles herself, including Boarding Gate (Asia Argento), Mulholland Drive (Naomi Watts), Margot at the Wedding (Nicole Kidman!), Anatomy of Hell (Amira Cesar), Secretary (Maggie Gyllenhaal) and 9 Songs (Margo Stilley). Actually, at least one of these films - Secretary (2002) with Maggie Gyllenhaal and James spader, has inspired an adult version: Adam & Eve's Perfect Secretary (2005) starring Carmen Luvana in her first anal. Even the two box covers of these films are starkly similar (pictured).
The last film listed, 9 Songs, which I will be renting promptly (thank you Netflix!), features actual penis-to-pussy penetration. Here is what Portwood says of the film:
It almost seems silly to include Michael Winterbottom’s quasi-porn. Sure, there’s good lighting, but all we get in this film is an American girl and horse hung Kieran O’Brien getting it on with full (real) penetration and plenty of other kinky bits. Oh, and it's interspliced with scenes from the two going to rock concerts. Don’t remember the self-pleasure? That’s cuz you were too busy freeze-framing her riding his stuff.
Admittedly, until this week I knew nothing of La Vie en Rose ("Life in Pink") or it's star, French actress Marion Cotillard, who won an Oscar this week for her portrayal of French singer, Édith Piaf. However, after seeing a montage of Cotillard's beautiful tits and soft curves, in several sexually graphic scenes in some French flick from 2002, I want to see more. The film, I am told is Une Affaire Privée ("A Private Affair") by Guillaume Nicloux, a mystery thriller where Cotillard plays vixen Clarisse Entoven, long before she was known to American audiences.
There definitely needs to be more tit-kissing in American cinema. It's the right thing to do when faced with a perfectly good pair of knockers.

It's not too often that we see porn stars making the crossover from adult to Hollywood. But with a film titled Zack & Miri Make a Porno, it's no surprise that a couple adult performers have made the cut.
Traci Lords, the controversial former underage adult performer turned mainstream actress (Crybaby) and Katie Morgan, the host of several HBO shows who was featured in her own HBO documentary, Katie Morgan: A Porn Star Revealed, were both recently announced in the cast of director/writer Kevin Smith's latest project. more >>
You ever get the feeling some of these special effects folks have something besides aliens on the brain? Well Maxim Online provides us with slide show proof that not all aliens are created equal. Some look like vagina, others like scrotum, some like penises and anal sphincters and the lucky few have vibrator-heads!
Mitchell Lichtenstein's Teeth is the bizarre horror film of an innocent virgin, Dawn O'Keefe, who discovers she has teeth in her vagina. The plot also includes Dawn's stepbrother making unwanted advances towards her and her active participation in a local chastity group set against the backdrop of burgeoning teenage sexuality with a twist -- oh, and the fact she has to floss her pussy. Ok, I made that last part up, but should she see a gyno or a dentist?
