Jean Afrique, AKA Jeanette Starion (b. Jeanette Dyrkjær) died Friday, July 29th, 2011 of a heart attack in her home. She was only 47 years old.
Her husband, former performer Ray Victory (b. Erwin Ray Viser), called 911 when "she started to tremble and fell asleep across the table". They took her to the hospital by ambulance, but 40 minutes later she died of a heart attack. Police have apparently ruled out suicide as she was not taking any unusual quantities of pills and there were no signs of foul play. Erwin Ray seems devastated by the loss of his wife and friend of over two decades:
I visited her in the morgue and I could tell by her face that she was relieved. She died happy. In the twenty years she and I were together, we loved each other as we never had loved others. She was my best friend. She told me so much.

Kimberly Kupps (real name: Theresa Taylor) and her husband Warren Taylor have been arrested on obscenity charges in Polk County, Florida on Friday, June 3rd, 2011.
According to the arrest report, a deputy spent three months investigating porn videos the couple made at home and sold online via their amateur web site, kimberlykupps.com. The deputy paid the initial $19.95 membership fee to her website, then he downloaded six videos, burned them to CDs and allowed County Judge Reinaldo Ojeda to review them. I wonder how many times those two jacked off before Judge Ojeda decided to rule that the videos were obscene material under state law.
Kupps was released Saturday night on $7500 bail. Her husband remains jailed.

In August of 2007, LA police stopped the adult performer for not having plates on his Chrysler sedan, and during a search of the vehicle, they found a loaded semiautomatic, a handgun, a collapsible baton, nearly four grams of cocaine in seven small Ziploc bags and $389 in cash. Eveready reportedly told police that he sells the drugs to help pay the bills when his porn work is slow. Eveready was also reported to have told the arresting officers the guns were props for an adult film.
Both Eveready and his girlfriend of several years, adult performer Katie Ray, who was present in the vehicle at the time of arrest, claim that the car was recently purchased and still had its dealer plates. Back when the incident occurred, Katie Ray told Luke Ford,
Neither of the guns worked. There was no clip on one and no fire pin on the other. They didn’t find any bullets or ammunition. They raided our house and apartment. They finger-printed our car. Director Lee Demarbre, who is known for directing such films as The Dead Sleep Easy (2007), Harry Knuckles and the Pearl Necklace (2004) and Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter (2001), insists there will be no nudity or sex in his indie horror film. Here's what Demarbre told the associated press:

Vivid contract performer and former Penthouse Pet of the Year (2003), Sunny Leone will be starring in the Bollywood film, Pirate's Blood (Siba Art Production and Distribution). This is the first time in history that an adult performer has been known to star in a mainstream Indian film.

Fox "news" talk show host, Greg Gutfeld, of Red Eye invited Monique Alexander to discuss a new sex study that shows abstinence programs without sex education don't work (Well, duh!). This is probably not news to you, but the study, which was conducted by the nonpartisan National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy shows that,
At present there does not exist any strong evidence that any abstinence program delays the initiation of sex, hastens the return to abstinence or reduces the number of sexual partners. [Whereas] Two-thirds of the 48 comprehensive programs that supported both abstinence and the use of condoms and contraceptives for sexually active teens had positive behavior effect [including] delaying the initiation of sex, reducing the frequency of sex, reducing the number of sexual partners and increasing condom or contraceptive use.
This study is relevant because the US government spends millions in taxpayer dollars funding abstinence-only programs, but has made virtually no expenditures on safe sex education for teens. But enough of the boring stuff. Greg asks Monique if she's taken sex ed as a student and she gives a sort-of reply, I guess:
It definitely intrigued me, but I found that hands-on training was much more effective.

There's only one problem: Author Blue provides no proof in her lawsuit as to even the approximate date that she claims she became widely known as "Violet Blue," and the earliest date of publication listed in her Wikipedia entry is 2001, when she edited "Sweet Life: Erotic Fantasies for Couples" for Cleis Press. Moreover, she only received the trademark on her name in March of this year.
