The red room looks like something out of an upscale bordello in some Euro-Asian country, but no, it's actually Sting and Trudie Styler's Master Bedroom in their $24-million Manhattan apartment. I've heard it said that having lots of money doesn't equate to having taste, and in this case, that statement reverberates loudly. The two tacky photographs are erotic pieces by Helmut Newton. One is a woman laying back on the backseat of a vintage Mercedes, while a man unzips her spiked heel. The other is self-explanatory. I'm not exactly sure what Sting and Trudie paid for those huge, gaudy pieces of erotica, but I bet they could have put a dozen kids through college with that money.

Women's Center Hosts 13th Annual Erotic Art Show

 The students at California State University, in coordination with the Women's Center, have put together their 13th Annual
Erotic Art Show at the Crux Artist Collective. The show featured various fetishes, including an erotic rendition of De Vinci's Last Supper.
Not all the art was political -- the show included everything from a vivid video of a woman exploring her own body to Miss Piggy in her adult outfit. Greek Art Director Arrested for Masturbation Art Piece

 The director of an art show in Athens, Greece was jailed on charges of obscenity and an attack on national symbols. The material in question was a video of a woman masturbating to the Greek National Anthem by Greek-American artist, Eva Stefani.
According to the article in the Australian newspaper, Perth Now:
After a visitor reported the video to police, Art Athina director, Michalis Argyros, was arrested and charged.
He spent the night behind bars, provoking an outcry from local artists, who mobilized to defend him.
Last week, the Greek court acquitted Argyros on all charges, citing freedom of expression. Apparently, the Greek Orthodox Church and right-wing political parties of Greece actively pursue works of art with even the slightest religious iconography or national symbolism.
