Love her or hate her, Jenna Jameson is the most famous porn star in the world. She is a household name among adults of my generation, and this week, Jenna Jameson is featured on Oprah. She speaks of her hugely successful career in porn, her volatile teenage years growing up in Vegas, and her new role as full-time mommy to two healthy twin boys.
Not one to shy away from controversy, Jenna Jameson gave quite the speech at the 2008 Annual AVN Awards: Honesty is key –- and I will never ever again spread my legs in this industry, ever! When she spoke these words, the audience - filled primarily with industry people including fellow adult performers, directors and producers - booed her. Yet, many spoke up in her defense as well.

Congratulations to Jenna Jameson and Tito Ortiz on their first pregnancy together! Jenna has had bad luck with fertility in the past, including a miscarriage during her marriage to Jay Grdina, as well as a failed in vitro attempt. This has to be great news for the new mom-to-be, and we couldn't be happier for the pair. A source tells the New York Post today: She had a bunch of meetings and things planned for Fashion Week, including meetings for her own line, but she's postponed everything. She's completely thrilled, this is something she's wanted for a very long time. Every other celebrity blog is covering this story, peppering their articles with snide remarks about Jenna's barren porn womb to off-color jokes about her anorexia and future child. The woman is a cultural icon: Jenna Jameson has accomplished some amazing things that few of us will ever accomplish in our lifetimes, including starting a multimillion dollar empire and breaking into the mainstream after conquering the adult film industry. If anyone deserves a break from the media, it's Jenna! If this were Katie Holmes or some other actress there would be multimillion dollar offers for pictures and People Magazine cover talk, but alas, poor Jenna is stigmatized, and as one tasteless blogger writes:

The biggest cross-over star of the adult industry, Jenna Jameson, is headlining a Sony Pictures' comedy horror film alongside co-star Robert Englund (most famously known as Freddy Krueger). Jay Lee's Zombie Strippers takes two genres that go together like peanut butter and jelly in a happy, horny marriage of tits and guts: the zombie film and the stripper B-movie.
In a recent interview, when asked if the film is as promising as it sounds, Robert Englund told Horror Yearbook, Oh Zombie Strippers, OH MY GOD. It’s well… I’ll just give you two words: Jenna Jameson. Does that explain it? There’s horror comedy, there’s Grindhouse and this is a new hybrid. This is softcore horror, that’s what I’m calling it. It’s for all those dorm rats out there, when you’re horny. Even Jenna's UFC beau, Tito Ortiz, has a role in this title as a bouncer (pictured in upper left of film poster). Zombie Strippers is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 18, 2008 in 13 cities across the US, but I've read that if you really want to see it - tell your local theater - because it's not too late to be added to the April release.
