In their popular series Bullshit!, Penn Jillette and Raymond Joseph Teller - better known as Penn & Teller, illusionists and entertainers who specialize in clever tricks and exposing frauds, take on the so-called "war on porn." If you've ever been made to feel like a pervert for enjoying adult films and entertainment, this series is for you. Tonight's the final airing on Showtime at 10:30 PM ET/PT.
In episode 601, the sixth season premiere, the [Penn & Teller] duo examines the "war on porn," a crusade by various special interest groups to restrict free speech and regulate the Internet.
Apparently, to be a successful cooking show host you have to be good at more than just cooking -- you have to know how to handle the cock. So here's a tribute to Ms. Ray:
Despite all the lascivious "dating" shows and steamy programming on MTV, apparently the producers of this former music channel have decided to draw the line on cats fucking. Mind you, this is something you can watch on the Animal Planet with your kids during the day. PETA has launched a funny commercial along the lines of when the owner's away, the cats will play, to encourage everyone to neuter and spay their pets. You can view the tongue-in-cheek ad, entitled Sex and the Kitty for yourself:
PETA used both real cats as well as animatronic ones for the "in heat" sequences. Daphna Nachminovitch, Vice President of PETA, comments on the controversial ad: more >>
Finally, some pragmatic advise on seducing your partner from two women who seem to be a lot of fun (pictured). Emily Posts and Lorelei Sharkey, better known as the team of Em & Lo, are getting a new sex advice show on British Channel 5: Sex - How to Do Everything is scheduled to air Thursdays at 11 PM, starting June 5th. The ladies dispense ingeniously practical advise on creating a satisfying sex life for everyone, such as this simple foreplay tip:
A great seduction technique is to have a mini foreplay session before going out for the evening together. Kiss passionately for 20 minutes and then leave it there. When you get back from seeing a movie or having a meal out, pick up where you left off. Don’t rush things -– draw it out!
I can only see benefits in a pre-date make-out session. Getting your woman/man hot before a date could set a sexy mood for the night that might even lead to a bit of fun before you even make it home.
Continuing with the notion that good sex is as much a mind game as it is a physical experience, Em & Lo drop a tip for the ladies, that quite frankly, works for the guys too. more >>
Vh1, originally a music video channel, is rolling out their 4-part look into the sexually charged history of the second half of the 20th century in America, each night at 10 PM from May 12th to the 15th. This documentary-style series will explore a wide variety of subjects from morality and censorship to sexual expression and AIDS.
Here's a brief description of Episode 1 - Save It for Marriage:
The series begins in the stultified, sexually repressed America of the 1950s -- when kids were taught to "save it for marriage" -- and continues through the break out and rise of the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s. Along the way are Hef, Kinsey, Little Richard, Citizens for Decent Literature, Sex and the Single Girl, the Pill, Sex, Drugs & Rock and Roll, Make Love Not War, Masters and Johnson, Sandstone, Swinging, Burn the Bra, Stonewall, Deep Throat, Forty Second Street, the Continental Baths, the Castro, Roe v. Wade, The Zipless You-Know-What, Plato's Retreat, Hustler, Herpes and Reagan -- and oh, so much more...
From the 3 teaser clips I've compiled below, the Sex Revolution series looks to be both unflinchingly comprehensive and provocative:
Consider this clip a little visual foreplay for what’s to come. It features a "porn star" from back in the day, who decided to take on the Guinness World Record for most sexual partners in one sitting. The magic number: 86. The result? The world’s first spermathon. more >>
Spike TV ran an educational exposé on how to tell the difference between a cop and a real hooker. They had an attorney go into the legal minutia of getting baited by police to commit a crime and how to avoid the pitfalls of said baiting.
I especially like #5 - asking her to pose nude for money - very clever! That is basically the precursor to porn. Making porn is illegal in Texas, but it's perfectly legal in California. So in some states at least, instead of getting a hooker, you could get yourself a "porn actress". Jeez, talk about the hypocrisy in our puritan-based morality laws!
Dr. Steve-O and his busty assistant, Nurse Trishelle, are on a "cross-country mission to 'de-wussify' nerds." Harold apparently couldn't handle some hot girl-on-girl fetish action. Poor little guy...
Dr. Steve-O runs every Monday 11/10 C on the cable channel, USA Network. The show's description reads,
Nominated by their buddies, girlfriends, wives, mothers, co-workers and sometimes even themselves to be "de-wussified," each "patient" of Dr. Steve-O embarks on an extreme attitude adjustment specifically tailored to their "wussdom," be it low self-esteem, an office bully or just lack of experience with women. Steve-O will confront the guys, infiltrate their lives and shock them out of their shells by making them perform hilarious stunts and embarrassingly funny and demented dares! At the end of each show, our "wussies" will walk away having overcome their issues and fears enabling them to live the life they always wanted.
This commercial for the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show features Heidi playing with her luscious breasts for about 30 seconds. But before you get all excited, it's pretty silly. Apparently when the director said, "could you play with your tits for a bit?", she took it literally.
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! Yesterday was crazy so I'm sorry for the lack of posts, but I'm back to rock the blog. Err, yeah.
There's a video on the Internet that was banned from the popular news aggregator, Digg.com, being deemed too risqué by the editors. This same video was banned from the Google-owned video sharing site, YouTube, also for the adult nature of its content. This doesn't seem like a big deal as plenty of video clips with adult content find their way on inappropriate web sites. It comes as no surprise that porn would be banned on web sites that are popular among minors, such as YouTube. Except, this particular video is a montage of 100% Fox News content as aired on Fox News to practically every household in America, during prime time. more >>
Fox "news" talk show host, Greg Gutfeld, of Red Eye invited Monique Alexander to discuss a new sex study that shows abstinence programs without sex education don't work (Well, duh!). This is probably not news to you, but the study, which was conducted by the nonpartisan National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy shows that,
At present there does not exist any strong evidence that any abstinence program delays the initiation of sex, hastens the return to abstinence or reduces the number of sexual partners. [Whereas] Two-thirds of the 48 comprehensive programs that supported both abstinence and the use of condoms and contraceptives for sexually active teens had positive behavior effect [including] delaying the initiation of sex, reducing the frequency of sex, reducing the number of sexual partners and increasing condom or contraceptive use.
This study is relevant because the US government spends millions in taxpayer dollars funding abstinence-only programs, but has made virtually no expenditures on safe sex education for teens. But enough of the boring stuff. Greg asks Monique if she's taken sex ed as a student and she gives a sort-of reply, I guess:
It definitely intrigued me, but I found that hands-on training was much more effective.
