 Former penthouse pet and legendary porn star-business woman, Taylor Wane, has landed several mainstream film roles, including one in an upcoming Ron Howard film.
Taylor Wane will be playing a Playboy Playmate with a Hugh Hefner look-alike in Ron Howard's upcoming film about the post-Watergate television interviews between British talk-show host David Frost and former president Richard Nixon, aptly titled Frost/Nixon. She had this to say of her big-budget appearance:
It was a really exciting experience to be on a Ron Howard set and to be in such a great film.
Wane will also be playing the head mistress of a sordid sex club that is being investigated by the FBI for several murders in State of Play (2009). She will be acting along side Ben Affleck, Russel Crowe, Rachel McAdams and a bevy of A-listers in this film based on a BBC mini-series where a police detective works with reporters in solving the murder of a congressman's mistress.
Oh, then there's Ms. Wane's role as a dancer/stripper in Alejandro Chomski's adaptation of Wendy Hammond's play, A Beautiful Life (2008), starring Debi Mazar, Dana Delaney and Bai Ling. She will also be acting in a similar role in The Girl from the Naked Eye, a film about a young stripper who is murdered, but not forgotten as friends investigate the mysterious death.
And lest we think that Taylor Wane is only doing films, she has been featured in several episodes of Gene Simmons' Family Jewels as well as the popular plastic surgery drama Nip/Tuck, and on the Fox Reality show, My Bare Lady.
Wane's also been busy recording her first music CD, due out later this year. According to her web site, she's already recorded several songs, and a few are available for preview (see link below). Surprisingly, she really can sing: Wane contributed her vocal talents to Doris Day's I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus on the Rock 4 X-Mas charity fundraiser album. In fact, she seems to be particularly involved with charity work when it comes to our men and women in uniform:
I was pleasantly surprised last year when I received an award from the U.S. Navy Seals, in honor of my support for the troops. It came with an official certificate and an American flag which was flown over Iraq for 24 hours in my honor, and once taken down, it was encased in an engraved display box for me. To thank the guys for this great honor, I shot a poster dressed in U.S. Navy Seal gear and I sent it to them. The posters are available for sale on my site , and all proceeds go to the Disabled American Veterans charity.
I support a lot of charities, and DAV is very close to my heart. I could never be grateful enough or thankful enough for what the servicemen sacrifice for our freedom. They have courage like most of us will never know.
There's nothing sexier than a man in a uniform -- good for her! Her fourteen year old web site is going to be completely revamped later this year, but it is certainly one of the better adult performer sites I have visited and would recommend taking a peak.

A seasoned adult film actress who has been in over 200 pornos, Wane is helping to break the stereotype that adult film performers can't act or be smart. Unfortunately, she is not credited for any of her mainstream roles on IMBD, so it appears there is still a strong bias against adult film stars in the mainstream film industry.
