 Yale University's 4th Biannual Sex Week will feature Vivid Day on February 16th 2008. Vivid girls Monique Alexander and Savanna Samson, director Paul Thomas, and Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch will all visit Yale University as official guests of Sex Week at Yale (SWAY) for talks, panel discussions, Q&A's and some serious partying that will include a "Who Looks Most Like a Vivid Girl" contest.
Sex Week has been a tradition on the Yale campus since 2002 when Jewish student, Eric Rubenstein, initially thought up of a Kosher Sex Week for fellow Hillel students. Soon the idea grew into the planning phase during which the scope of the Kosher Sex Week was broadened to include all students at Yale. Though the first "Campus Sex Week" had moderate success, it wasn't until the two subsequent Sex Weeks that the event became a staple of campus life during Valentine's week on even years.
Sex Week at Yale 2006 proved to be even more exciting and informative than its predecessor events combined. The event garnered worldwide media attention and national collegiate renown. Now, Sex Week 2008 is building upon previous years' successes and shaping up to be the most remarkable Week in the young but already rich history of Sex Week at Yale.
This year marks the first time SWAY has a day dedicated to an adult production company. Additionally, the top-notch ivy league university will host a televised debate on porn between two opposing teams. On February 15th, Ron Jeremy and Monique Alexander will be pitted against Craig Gross and Donnie Pauling. The Great Porn Debate will be moderated and televised by Nightline ABC, with host Martin Bashir.
Stevie Jay kicks off SWAY on Sunday evening, February 10th, with "Life, love, sex, death, and other works in progress...". The festivities will end on February 18th with a safe sex talk by an undisclosed Trojan Condom executive. Way to spoil the fun, Trojan! No, seriously, it makes sense to end with the sober reality of STDs and unwanted pregnancy, and at least Trojan will be giving away free condoms and vibrating rings!
Sex Week got it's first adult performer appearance in 2004 when Wicked Contract starlet, Devinn Lane, was invited. In 2006, Pirates Director Joone, and its star, Digital Playground Contract girl, Jesse Jane, were part of the featured panel.
This year, SWAY is getting Dr. Ruth, Mystery and Matador, from VH1's The Pick-Up Artist, as well as speed dating and a lingerie fashion show. Did I mention I miss college? Oh yeah, I did.
