Sexy film siren, Leelee Sobieski, who is known for such versatile roles as her Golden Globe winning portrayal of Joan of Arc (1999) to a modern day Lolita in Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut (1999), stars in Julie Davis' Finding Bliss (October 2008), another film about making a porno. Here's the official plot synopsis for Finding Bliss:
Aspiring filmmaker, Jody Balaban (Leelee Sobieski), takes a job at a porn studio, planning to use the company's lush facilities to secretly film her own movie after hours. When Jody's ruse is discovered, she's forced to collaborate with infamous porn director, Jeff Drake (Matthew Davis) -- an initially fractious relationship that simmers into an unexpected romance.
This means that two romantic comedies about making porn will debut this October. Finding Bliss sounds a little more grown up than Zak & Miri Make a Porno. Leelee's film is directed by Julie Davis, who also directed a film called Amy's Orgasm (2001). Smith's film will no doubt offer a male perspective, whereas Davis's film may give us a feminine take on things. It's the best of both worlds as I plan on watching each film. But what has me excited about Finding Bliss is an article I read on In/Out Star that claims Leelee (and supporting cast) bare it all:
Written and directed by Julie Davis, the motion picture attempts at mocking the porn industry and fortunately, it intends to do so by using a variety of nude scenes, enough to satisfy any viewer's curiosity about the anatomy of the actresses, including Leelee Sobieski and co-star Christa Campbell (Day of the Dead).
Mock away all you want as long as we get to see the hot Hollywood T&A. A film about porn SHOULD have nudity. The film also stars Ron Jeremy as pretty much himself. For purportedly mocking the industry, the film is certainly supporting an adult film legend, as no comedy about porn is complete without the Hedgehog.
Here is why I love Leelee (as if we need another reason):
She's candid and she could care less about mindlessly plugging her films. That southern accent is sexy to boot.

Leelee's natural pillow bags and baby face make her one awesome actress. Here's hoping we get to see much more of her in Finding Bliss!
