 It's not too often that we see porn stars making the crossover from adult to Hollywood. But with a film titled Zack & Miri Make a Porno, it's no surprise that a couple adult performers have made the cut.
Traci Lords, the controversial former underage adult performer turned mainstream actress (Crybaby) and Katie Morgan, the host of several HBO shows who was featured in her own HBO documentary, Katie Morgan: A Porn Star Revealed, were both recently announced in the cast of director/writer Kevin Smith's latest project.
Zack & Miri Make a Porno marks the latest collaboration between Bob and Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Smith and producer Scott Mosier who have created many successful and popular films over the past 13 years including Clerks, Clerks II, Chasing Amy, Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Zack and Miri are two lifelong friends who are deep in debt and enlist the help of their friends to make a porno movie for some quick cash. But as everybody starts "doing" everybody, Zack and Miri realize that they may have more feelings for each other than they previously thought.
The film will star Seth Rogen (Knocked Up) and Elizabeth Banks (40 Year Old Virgin) as Zack and Miri, respectively. The film will also include Jason Mewes, Kevin Smith's long-time friend and acting partner. Shooting for the movie began last month in Pittsburgh.
