 Jimi Hendrix, forever immortalized for his talents on the guitar with such classics as Foxy Lady, Purple Haze, All Along a Watchtower and his performance of Summer Time with Janis Joplin, may now perhaps also be remembered as one hell of a lover. Vivid has obtained rights to eleven minutes of explicit footage with what appears to be Jimi Hendrix and two brunettes having sex in a hotel room circa 1970. This footage includes intercourse, two-on-one fellatio and cunnilingus. In fact, Vivid co-chairman Steve Hirsch was quoted in the press release as stating,
This new movie shows that Jimi Hendrix could have been as great a porn star as he was a rock star.
Though the footage is being disputed by an ex-girlfriend of Hendrix as well as the writer of a Hendrix biography, Room Full of Mirrors (2005), two notable groupies known for having had intimate relations with Hendrix are certain that it's none other than the 60's rock legend himself: Pamela Des Barres, also known at the "super-groupie" who wrote a book of her experience, I'm with the Band: Confessions of a Groupie, and Cynthia "Plaster Caster" Albritton, who is known for her plaster casts of rock star genitalia, including the famous purple dildo she made from Hendrix's own member in 1968. Both women are featured in the commentary on Vivid's Jimi Hendrix Sex Tape discussing Hendrix's superb sexual prowess and why they think this footage is the real deal.
Ms. Albritton, now 61 and living in Chicago, gave the following statement regarding the authenticity of the tape:
I’m 100 percent sure it’s him. The facial bone structure is the same. The eyebrows and the mustache are true to the style he was wearing in 1970.
