 Since I'll be posting here, a lot, I thought maybe a little about me can help get things started. I'm the brains of this operation. Well, okay no, not really. But I do get to do fun stuff like read your e-mails, interview performers, write reviews, add thousands of sexy images and serve as the communications link between us and the world. I probably know more about porn than most men thanks to the plethora of information and free stuff I get from studios, directors, performers, vendors and of course, the fans.
Being a straight woman, I'm a fan of performers such as Julian and French porn star, Jean Val Jean. That's not to say I don't enjoy the female talent in the adult industry though -- I can definitely appreciate the curves of the superior gender. But IMO the industry continues to focus on almost strictly the female talent; would it hurt them to take one good face shot of the male performers in each film? As more and more women watch porn, thanks to a lot of social changes that are destigmatizing adult entertainment and sex in general, the demand for attractive men continues to grow. I believe I read an article that claimed 40% of Digital Playground's customers are now female. I know we have quite a few female visitors, I've spoken to some myself.
Working on an adult website is not without its perks. The upsides of my career are fun stuff like the Tera Patrick interview (yup, that was me asking the questions which I wrote) and receiving occasional freebies. The downsides, however, are the increasing amount of piracy (yes, it does really hurt the little guys too), the ongoing 2257 "secondary producer" legislative nightmare and the consistent legislation making it harder for adults to enjoy adult entertainment. I worry that one day free informational, adult sites like the adultfilmdatabase and many others will get pushed out by new anti-adult legislation and rampant piracy.
When I'm not working, I love to play a few video games. I got suckered into the World of Warcraft phase for quite a while, I just got through Bioshock. I loved Paper Mario on my Wii and I have been known to play a few casual games here and there (Zuma, Typershark, Tetris, the Pamela Anderson PETA game, etc.). I just started playing The Sims 2 again, and my favorite activity is definitely WooHoo in the hot tub (but make sure to get the nude patch). And only in the Sims can I snuggle to my heart's content after WooHoo without complaints from my man! Besides adult films, I enjoy films with sexy, edgy superheros like The Matrix, V for Vendetta, Batman Begins, Sin City and The Mask of Zorro. Romance just isn't the same without a cape and a whip (a good mask helps too). I love to read, drink lots of tea and discuss pretty much anything except sports (yes, I'm not perfect), so I look forward to reading your comments.
Well that about sums it up. It was bloody hard writing about myself. It's much more fun to write about porn, which I hope to be doing a lot of if you promise to keep reading.
