David Duchovny, perhaps most famous for his role as Agent Fox Mulder on the X-Files TV series, checked in last week to The Meadows facility in Arizona to start a thirty-five day rehab program for sex addiction. He did this in a bid to save his marriage with the mother of his two children, Téa Leoni. The forty-eight year old actor allegedly had a string of affairs during his eleven year marriage to Leoni, and his check in to rehab was her ultimatum for his cheating ways.
Initially, news reports stated Duchovny had checked in for "sex addiction," but the story changed earlier this week to "porn addiction," and now it's back to "sex addiction" again. It probably is some of both for all we know, but this got me thinking. When you marry a virile sex symbol, unless you're willing to move to some isolated chateau in France, expect there to be some possibility of infidelity.
Duchovny even stars in a series which has the word "fornication" - Californication - where he plays a sex-obsessed womanizer. It's almost like, what did you expect there? He allegedly had "issues" with banging hot women who throw themselves at him since before his marriage with Leoni:
At the height of Duchovny's stardom in the mid 1990s, it was widely reported he had suffered from sex addiction after cheating on a string of girlfriends.
If I had a chance to sleep with him, yes I probably would. There's something about those puppy dog eyes and that vulnerability which he exudes that just draws you to him. But I'd definitely make him wear a condom considering he's probably had more pussy than your average porn stud.
